About Alpha
A teacher's past papers should be a living asset — not a filing cabinet.
Alpha was built on a simple conviction: the most valuable resource a school owns is its back-catalogue of past papers, and it's being wasted as static PDFs.
Teachers lose hours every week to work that isn't teaching: building exams from scratch, marking them by hand, and guessing which topics a class is struggling with. Every term, the same effort is repeated from zero.
Alpha changes where that effort goes. It reads a school's past papers, drafts exams with AI, grades the objective questions instantly, and rolls results up into a clear, topic-by-topic picture of the class. What used to take an afternoon takes minutes — and produces better data than teachers had before.
Crucially, the AI never acts alone. Every generated exam is reviewed and approved by a teacher before a student sees it. That's the principle we won't compromise on — it's what makes AI genuinely safe, and genuinely useful, in a classroom.
Our aim is to give every teacher an AI assistant that builds exams from their own past papers, marks them, and shows exactly where the class needs help — while keeping the teacher firmly in control.

The core experience — upload a past paper, AI-generate an exam, have a student sit it and get auto-graded — is built and functional end to end. We're validating it with real teaching workflows before a wider rollout.
